There’s no need to rough it when you go glamping with Waldorf Astoria.

Camping may not be everyone’s favorite way to travel, but you haven’t done it with Waldorf Astoria.

That’s especially true when you attend France’s legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, the world’s most thrilling endurance auto race.

To create an unforgettable experience, Waldorf Astoria partnered with Aston Martin Racing for the first time to provide True Waldorf Service: from luxurious bedding and amenities with full butler service, to elevated dining and access to Aston Martin Racing’s VIP Hospitality Suite.

As part of its four-year global partnership with Aston Martin Lagonda and Aston Martin Racing, Waldorf Astoria is offering guests exclusive access to driving experiences and auto events around the world.

That includes Le Mans, which attracts more than a quarter million fans who make the annual pilgrimage to the French city — just two and a half hours away from Waldorf Astoria Versailles – Trianon Palace.

The rules for transforming the typical camping experience into an unforgettable glamping weekend are simple:

Aston Martin Racing pitched 46 tents just minutes from Circuit de la Sarthe, providing a peaceful sanctuary away from the roar of the racetrack while still close enough to check out the action, elevating the camping experience with True Waldorf Service.

Glamping is always better with friends, especially if they have interesting backgrounds that can inspire some memorable conversations around a crackling campfire.

Joining Waldorf Astoria and Aston Martin for Le Mans was London-based artist Louis-Nicolas Darbon; fellow influencers Ali Gordon, Jon Olsson and Benjamin Ortega; British wine expert and TV host Olly Smith; The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood; and celebrity photographer Denis O’Regan.

Waldorf Astoria doesn’t rough it with a sleeping bag. Even if your suite is in the form of a tent, Waldorf Astoria makes sure to pamper guests with comfortable beds outfitted with deluxe bedding and cable knit throw blankets. You’ll also find plush sheepskin throw rugs, monogrammed robes and slippers.

Tents are also outfitted with tea lights, branded wine tumblers and charging stations to keep your digital devices ready to document every minute of the unforgettable experience—and share it with your friends.

To ensure you look and feel good, Waldorf Astoria’s glamping kits include eye masks, earplugs, and Salvatore Ferragamo facial mist and lotion, while campground bathrooms come equipped with spacious vanity areas, showers and Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries, with the brand’s Tuscan Soul deluxe products placed in tents. Salvatore Ferragamo products are also available in Waldorf Astoria hotels and resorts.

There’s no need to stress while glamping, especially when Waldorf Astoria brings its signature spas. The Aston Martin luxury campsite at Le Mans featured a Waldorf Astoria Spa tent offering complimentary massages for attendees and personal butlers to fulfill every guest’s needs.

In addition to access to Aston Martin Racing’s VIP Hospitality Suite, guests can also unwind in the suite’s screening area to watch the race or relax on one of the custom-designed Waldorf Astoria beanbag chairs during the 24-hour event.

Waldorf Astoria has long celebrated the culinary arts with its Bull & Bear restaurants, Peacock Alley lounges and partnerships with celebrity chefs like Jean-George Vongerichten and Michael Mina.

Glamping with Waldorf Astoria naturally includes gourmet meals with guests treated to champagne receptions and lavish dinners—even BBQ featuring the culinary talents of Michelin-starred chef Daniel Galmiche.

Keeping onlookers cool during race day, Waldorf Astoria also served up “Poptails,” frozen cocktail push pops themed around the brand’s hotels around the world.

The Citrus Spritz Poptail, for example, highlights Rome Cavalieri, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, while Hawaii’s Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort had the Minty Mojito Poptail; the new Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi was represented by a Summer Berry Poptail, and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills had the Green Splash Poptail, a non-alcohol option.

France’s iconic 24-hour race may be enough entertainment for racing fans, but Waldorf Astoria and Aston Martin’s glamping experience also provided guests with live music from artists like Les Rubys and DJ EROK.

There were also helicopter rides that give passengers a birds-eye view of the Le Mans racetrack and circuit grounds.

If glamping isn’t your thing, rest assured you can always experience True Waldorf Service at one of Waldorf Astoria’s 30 iconic hotels.
