24 HOURS OF LE MANS

The Waldorf Astoria glamping tents by night at 24 Hours of Le Mans

Waldorf Astoria hosted an exclusive glamping experience for guests at the 2019 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. The luxe camping affair featured deluxe bedding, monogrammed robes and eye masks, and Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries within arm’s reach. Guests could also enjoy specialty spa treatments from the Waldorf Astoria Spa tent on-site.

Attendees were treated to savory bites, custom cocktails and trackside access to the world’s oldest endurance race, including aerial views from personal helicopter rides above the track.

Following the event, guests could cap off the weekend at Waldorf Astoria Versailles – Trianon Palace, just two hours away from the racetrack.

DRIVING EXPERIENCES

Driving event in Palm Springs at La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Guests had the chance to get in the driver’s seat of Aston Martin’s Vantage, DB11 and DBS Superleggera sportscars with professional drivers at Waldorf Astoria Driving Experiences around the globe.

The hands-on events allowed guests to rev their engines with one-hour guided drives beneath the gleaming skyscrapers of Pudong, down the famous Las Vegas Strip, and alongside the beautiful Arabian Gulf—all powered by Aston Martin

2019’s unique driving events took off from La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Palm Springs; Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian in Scotland; Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund; Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead; Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas; and in the UAE, with Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah as well as Waldorf Astoria Ras al Khaimah.

PEBBLE BEACH

Families and four-legged guests alike enjoyed up-close access to the latest Aston Martin sportscars

As part of Monterey Car Week, guests enjoyed exclusive access to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which showcased collectable cars from old-school roadsters to the sports cars of the future.

Champagne and light bites inspired by the famed Peacock Alley were served from the exclusive hospitality suite. And no guest was left unattended: Waldorf Astoria even provided attendees’ dogs with custom doggie bags, dog dishes and plush beds throughout the lounge for optimum service and comfort.

In addition to top-notch dining and service, guests also received specialized tours of Newport Beach, with the chance to meet and greet motorsport celebrities.

GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED

Local guests enjoying photo opportunities with the latest Aston Martin

At the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K., guests relished prime views of the thrilling hill-climb action from the premium viewing platform.

They also enjoyed exclusive access to the VIP hospitality suite and lounge, serving savory bites for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. To de-stress from all the trackside excitement, guests relaxed with treatments from the on-site Waldorf Astoria Spa.

In addition to the race, they received a private tour of the Aston Martin Racing Garage, and a meet-and-greet with the team’s drivers. Special experiences also included helicopter rides around the circuit, as well as rides around the track in a rally car courtesy of a professional driver.
