Meeting the requests of each guest is the key objective for the personal concierge services at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts—even if that guest comes with four legs.
Paddington was one of them.
When the golden doodle needed daily walks, custom chew toys, a specialty spa treatment— even a special diet—the Yacht Club concierge at Boca Raton Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, had Paddington covered.
The concierge, Quinn, didn’t have much time to address the requests of Paddington’s owner, who was arriving within three days for their 10-day stay during the December holidays, a time when the resort is fully booked.
True Waldorf Service means delivering an exceptional, highly customized experience and granting each guest’s wish.
At the time of Paddington’s arrival, Quinn had just completed his first month at the resort. “This was the first ambitious request I had received,” he says. “I had to be extremely resourceful during the short window of time prior to their arrival.”
Quinn took quick action to notify all eight of the 13 dog-friendly restaurants and bars around the main resort, including Morimoto, a sushi bar, and surrounding eateries, of both guests’ dietary restrictions.
They created custom menus to guarantee a worry-free dining experience. Quinn even ordered specialty cereal brands. “We were able to provide customized options at each of our restaurants for both the owner and Paddington,” he says.
The beloved pet’s arrival came just months after the South Florida resort introduced its Paws in Paradise program, offering pets five-star service with toys, a luxurious dog bed with nightly turndown service, and access to an on-site dog park. Busy owners can also take advantage of daycare and grooming services with signature treatments.
Paddington left Boca Raton one pampered pooch.
